| CVE-2026-121373 | 1 Sensiolabs | 1 Symfony | 2026-11-04 | N/A |
| The Symfony HtmlSanitizer component MetaRefreshAttributeSanitizer, introduced to fix CVE-2026-48761, sanitizes the refresh URL of content attributes of meta tags using a regular expression that is too narrow, allowing sanitization to be bypassed, and resulting in potential URL redirection to untrusted sites in Symfony versions 6.1.x prior to 6.4.50, 7.x prior to 7.4.23, and 8.x prior to 8.1.11. The shared declarative refresh steps in the WHATWG HTML Standard require a broader approach: the separator after the time may be ASCII whitespace alone, with no ; or ,, and the url= keyword is optional. Directives the browser honours, but the regular expression misses are returned unchanged, so the attacker URL skips UrlSanitizer entirely and both allowLinkSchemes and allowLinkHosts are defeated for the refresh navigation. This is reachable under any configuration that allows meta with http-equiv and content, including the documented allowStaticElements() preset. | ||||
| CVE-2026-121971 | 1 Sensiolabs | 1 Symfony | 2026-11-04 | N/A |
| The component ScopingHttpClient in Symfony HttpClient merges the options of its default scope (such as auth_bearer or auth_basic) into a request before resolving a relative URL against the base_uri, allowing a network-path reference such as "//evil.example/steal" to be sent to another origin together with the default scope’s credentials, and resulting in potential disclosure of those credentials to an attacker-controlled server. This affects Symfony in versions 5.x prior to 5.4.56, 6.x prior to 6.4.50, 7.x prior to 7.4.23, and 8.x prior to 8.1.11. The resolved URL falls outside the origin of the base URI, yet it keeps the merged options, whereas the absolute spelling "https://evil.example/steal" receives none. The same happens with a different port or user-info part on the same host. This is reachable whenever an attacker controls the beginning of a URL passed to a client built with a base_uri and credentials, including those created with HttpClient::createForBaseUri() or configured under framework.http_client.scoped_clients. To solve the issue, after resolving a relative URL against the base URI of the default scope, ScopingHttpClient now compares the scheme and authority of the result with those of the base URI, parsed the way the request is sent. | ||||
| CVE-2026-118516 | 1 Sensiolabs | 1 Symfony | 2026-11-04 | N/A |
| The Symfony Routing components CompiledUrlMatcher and UrlMatcher interpret the host and path information differently, allowing path-based authorization rules to be bypassed in Symfony versions prior to 5.4.56, 6.x prior to 6.4.50, 7.x prior to 7.4.23, and 8.x prior to 8.1.11. For routes that define a host, CompiledUrlMatcher matches the string $host.'.'.$pathinfo against the host regular expression followed by the path regular expression, while UrlMatcher matches the host and the path separately. A host placeholder can therefore match /, and consume the beginning of the path, so the request is routed to a controller, while UrlMatcher would find no route. Rules that look at the path, such as access_control entries and firewall patterns, are evaluated against the actual request path, so they do not apply while the controller of the route runs, potentially allowing an unauthenticated request to reach a protected controller. For example, with the route /admin/report/{id}, the host app.{domain} and the rule access_control: [{ path: ^/admin, roles: ROLE_ADMIN }], an anonymous request for /admin/report/1 is sent to the login page. A request with the Host header app and path /x./admin/report/1 instead reaches the controller, with domain="/x". With the required domain: .+, the real hostname works: app.example.com and /x./admin/report/1 match with domain="example.com./x". Applications are affected if they have routes with host placeholders protected by path-based rules. With the default requirement, the Host header must be the host of the route without its last labels, such as app: framework.trusted_hosts blocks that, while a web server that only serves known names may not, for instance, Nginx passing the raw Host header to FastCGI for a request line that carries an absolute URI. If the requirement accepts /, such as .+, a real hostname works, and trusted_hosts does not help. | ||||
| CVE-2026-118513 | 1 Sensiolabs | 1 Symfony | 2026-11-04 | N/A |
| Authentication bypass by spoofing in X509Authenticator and X509AuthenticationListener of Symfony versions prior to 5.4.56, 6.x prior to 6.4.50, 7.x prior to 7.4.23, and 8.x prior to 8.1.11 allows an attacker holding a certificate from the application's trusted CA who can influence the CN to authenticate as an arbitrary user of the application, including a privileged one, following an incomplete fix for CVE-2026-45063. X509Authenticator extracts the user identifier from the Subject DN (Distinguished Name) that the web server passes in $_SERVER['SSL_CLIENT_S_DN']. The fix for CVE-2026-45063 anchored that extraction to an RDN (Relative Distinguished Name) boundary, but the regular expression used was not escape-aware. The expression runs against an already serialized DN, so it cannot tell an RDN separator from a separator character that occurs inside a value. Under RFC 2253, used by Apache and by nginx's $ssl_client_s_dn, a comma inside a value is escaped as \, and the expression reads it as a separator regardless. RFC 2253 also does not treat / as a separator, so it leaves it bare inside a value, while the expression treats every / as one. The legacy X509_NAME_oneline() format, used by Apache's LegacyDNStringFormat and by nginx's $ssl_client_s_dn_legacy, is the mirror image: it escapes / as \/ and leaves , bare. In that format, a certificate with no emailAddress attribute, or whose poisoned CN precedes it, authenticates as the smuggled address. To cover both RFC 2253 and the legacy X509_NAME_oneline() format, X509Authenticator and X509AuthenticationListener now split the DN into RDNs before looking for the attribute, instead of matching the attribute against the serialized string. They select the separator from the serialization, split on unescaped occurrences of that separator only, unescape each RDN afterwards with the rules of its format, and require the attribute to span a whole RDN. The accepted value grammar is unchanged. Applications that pass a per-attribute user key (such as SSL_CLIENT_S_DN_Email) and deployments whose CA generates or validates the subject are not affected by this vulnerability. | ||||
| CVE-2026-109449 | 1 Sensiolabs | 1 Symfony | 2026-10-15 | N/A |
| In Symfony Expression Language versions prior to 5.4.54, 6.4.48, 7.4.21, and 8.1.9, the parser of the ExpressionLanguage component built its node tree with no bound on its depth. An expression made of tens of thousands of nested unary operators, array literals, binary operators or property accesses crashed the PHP process, while the tree was being freed. #[Assert\ExpressionSyntax] passes the validated value to ExpressionLanguage::lint(), so an application validating expressions written by its users could be crashed by a single request, and so could any code parsing untrusted expressions. This issue affects symfony/expression-language through v5.4.53, v6.0.0-BETA1 through v6.4.47, v7.0.0-BETA1 through v7.4.20, and v8.0.0-BETA1 through v8.1.8. | ||||
| CVE-2026-109413 | 1 Sensiolabs | 1 Symfony | 2026-10-15 | N/A |
| In Symfony YAML prior to versions 5.4.54, 6.4.45, 7.4.18, and 8.1.6, Yaml\Parser::lexInlineStructure() recursed through lexInlineMapping() and lexInlineSequence() for every { and [ of an inline collection, without entering the nesting level that the rest of the parser bounds with maxNestingLevel. A document made of deeply nested inline collections, such as [[[[...]]]], exhausted the stack while it was being lexed: depending on the PHP version and its stack settings, the process crashed or the request ended with a fatal error. Any code parsing untrusted YAML is affected. That includes #[MapRequestPayload] when the Yaml component is installed and the endpoint does not restrict acceptFormat: a single unauthenticated request with a YAML content type is enough. This issue affects symfony/yaml through v5.4.53, v6.0.0-BETA1 through v6.4.44, v7.0.0-BETA1 through v7.4.17, and v8.0.0-BETA1 through v8.1.5. | ||||
| CVE-2026-108082 | 1 Sensiolabs | 1 Symfony | 2026-10-15 | N/A |
| Symfony is a PHP framework for web and console applications and a set of reusable PHP components. Prior to versions 5.4.54, 6.4.46, 7.4.19, and 8.1.7, HeaderUtils::split() parsed header values with a pattern whose token alternative also matched whitespace, followed by a (?<!\s) lookbehind. A run of whitespace placed before a separator could be divided among the iterations of the enclosing repetition in exponentially many ways, and the engine tried all of them before settling. HeaderBag calls it for the Cache-Control header whenever a Request is built, so any application handling HTTP requests is reachable, with no authentication. A single request carrying such a header costs close to a second of CPU (813 ms for a run of 17 spaces in an 8 KB header on PHP 8.5, doubling with each extra space). From 18 spaces on, preg_match_all() gives up at pcre.backtrack_limit and split() returns an empty array, so every directive of the header is silently dropped. This issue affects symfony/http-foundation v4.1.0-BETA1 through v5.4.53, v6.0.0-BETA1 through v6.4.45, v7.0.0-BETA1 through v7.4.18, and v8.0.0-BETA1 through v8.1.6. | ||||
| CVE-2026-45066 | 2 Sensiolabs, Symfony | 3 Symfony, Html-sanitizer, Symfony | 2026-08-05 | 6.1 Medium |
| Symfony is a PHP framework for web and console applications and a set of reusable PHP components. From 6.1.0-BETA1 until 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12, HtmlSanitizer URL sanitization can allow off-allowlist URLs through allowLinkHosts() or allowMediaHosts() because UrlSanitizer::parse() follows RFC 3986 while browsers follow WHATWG URL parsing, and because <area href> is checked against the media policy rather than the link policy. This issue is fixed in versions 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12. | ||||
| CVE-2026-45753 | 2 Sensiolabs, Symfony | 3 Symfony, Html-sanitizer, Symfony | 2026-08-05 | 6.1 Medium |
| Symfony is a PHP framework for web and console applications and a set of reusable PHP components. From 6.1.0-BETA1 until 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12, UrlAttributeSanitizer::getSupportedAttributes() omits URL-valued attributes including action, formaction, poster, and cite, so configurations that admit those attributes can leave javascript: URIs unsanitized and enable XSS when the resulting HTML is rendered or a victim submits a form or clicks a button. This issue is fixed in versions 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12. | ||||
| CVE-2026-45064 | 2 Sensiolabs, Symfony | 3 Symfony, Html-sanitizer, Symfony | 2026-08-05 | 6.1 Medium |
| Symfony is a PHP framework for web and console applications and a set of reusable PHP components. From 6.1.0-BETA1 until 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12, UrlSanitizer::parse() passes Unicode explicit-direction BiDi formatting characters through into sanitized href and src attributes, allowing sanitized content to display a link destination that visually differs from the actual destination and enabling phishing-style visual spoofing. This issue is fixed in versions 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12. | ||||
| CVE-2026-48784 | 2 Sensiolabs, Symfony | 3 Symfony, Routing, Symfony | 2026-08-05 | 6.1 Medium |
| Symfony is a PHP framework for web and console applications and a set of reusable PHP components. Prior to 5.4.53, 6.4.41, 7.4.13, and 8.0.13, UrlGenerator::doGenerate() used strtr() dot-segment encoding that skipped every other chained ../ or ./ segment, allowing attacker-controlled route parameters to generate URLs that collapse to a different path under RFC 3986 normalization. This issue is fixed in versions 5.4.53, 6.4.41, 7.4.13, and 8.0.13. | ||||
| CVE-2026-48760 | 2 Sensiolabs, Symfony | 3 Symfony, Html-sanitizer, Symfony | 2026-08-05 | 6.1 Medium |
| Symfony is a PHP framework for web and console applications and a set of reusable PHP components. From 6.1.0 until 6.4.41, 7.4.13, and 8.0.13, UrlSanitizer::parse() rejected raw BiDi formatting characters but not percent-encoded forms and used an ASCII-only whitespace check, allowing sanitized URLs to retain visual-spoofing characters that downstream consumers could decode or display. This issue is fixed in versions 6.4.41, 7.4.13, and 8.0.13. | ||||
| CVE-2026-48761 | 2 Sensiolabs, Symfony | 3 Symfony, Html-sanitizer, Symfony | 2026-08-03 | 6.1 Medium |
| Symfony is a PHP framework for web and console applications and a set of reusable PHP components. From 6.1.0 until 6.4.41, 7.4.13, and 8.0.13, UrlAttributeSanitizer::getSupportedAttributes() omitted URL-bearing attributes on <object>, <applet>, <iframe>, and <img>, and <meta http-equiv="refresh"> URLs inside content bypassed URL sanitization, allowing explicitly enabled elements or attributes to pass javascript: and similar payloads into sanitized output. This issue is fixed in versions 6.4.41, 7.4.13, and 8.0.13. | ||||
| CVE-2026-45077 | 2 Sensiolabs, Symfony | 3 Symfony, Monolog-bridge, Symfony | 2026-07-27 | 8.6 High |
| Symfony is a PHP framework for web and console applications and a set of reusable PHP components. Prior to 5.4.52, 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12, the server:log listener (Symfony\Bridge\Monolog\Command\ServerLogCommand) binds to 0.0.0.0:9911 by default and processes each received frame with unserialize(base64_decode($message)) without authentication, integrity checks, or an allowed_classes allowlist, allowing any reachable host to submit attacker-chosen serialized PHP payloads that can crash the listener and may trigger object-injection gadget effects. This issue is fixed in versions 5.4.52, 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12. | ||||
| CVE-2026-45074 | 2 Sensiolabs, Symfony | 3 Symfony, Security-http, Symfony | 2026-07-27 | 8.1 High |
| Symfony is a PHP framework for web and console applications and a set of reusable PHP components. From 7.1.0 until 7.4.12 and 8.0.12, Cas2Handler builds the CAS service parameter from Request::getSchemeAndHttpHost(), which reflects an attacker-controlled Host header when framework.trusted_hosts is not configured; an attacker controlling another application registered with the same CAS server can replay a victim ticket against the Symfony application and authenticate as the victim. This issue is fixed in versions 7.4.12 and 8.0.12. | ||||
| CVE-2026-45756 | 2 Sensiolabs, Symfony | 3 Symfony, Json-path, Symfony | 2026-07-27 | 7.5 High |
| Symfony is a PHP framework for web and console applications and a set of reusable PHP components. From 7.3.0-BETA1 until 7.4.12 and 8.0.12, the JsonPath component compiles attacker-controlled match() and search() filter patterns directly into preg_match() without a length cap, i-regexp restriction, or bounded backtracking, allowing catastrophic-backtracking expressions to pin worker CPU and cause denial of service. This issue is fixed in versions 7.4.12 and 8.0.12. | ||||
| CVE-2026-45072 | 2 Sensiolabs, Symfony | 4 Symfony, Symfony, Twig-bridge and 1 more | 2026-07-27 | 5.4 Medium |
| Symfony is a PHP framework for web and console applications and a set of reusable PHP components. From 6.4.24 until 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12, the development profiler file_excerpt Twig filter escapes PHP files through highlight_string() but interpolates lines from non-PHP files directly into <code> elements, allowing stored XSS against a developer who opens an attacker-written file such as var/log/dev.log in the profiler. This issue is fixed in versions 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12. | ||||
| CVE-2026-45073 | 3 Cache, Sensiolabs, Symfony | 3 Symfony, Symfony, Symfony | 2026-07-27 | 7.3 High |
| Symfony is a PHP framework for web and console applications and a set of reusable PHP components. Prior to 5.4.52, 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12, PdoAdapter::doClear() builds a DELETE statement using a namespace derived from the caller-supplied $prefix without binding or escaping it, allowing a caller able to influence $prefix to break out of the LIKE literal and alter query semantics or deletion scope. This issue is fixed in versions 5.4.52, 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12. | ||||
| CVE-2026-45070 | 2 Sensiolabs, Symfony | 3 Symfony, Mime, Symfony | 2026-07-27 | 6.5 Medium |
| Symfony is a PHP framework for web and console applications and a set of reusable PHP components. Prior to 5.4.52, 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12, Symfony\Component\Mime\Header\ParameterizedHeader validates and encodes parameter values but emits parameter names verbatim, allowing a caller that derives a parameter name from untrusted input to include CRLF or other non-token bytes and inject additional headers into rendered structured mail headers such as Content-Type or Content-Disposition. This issue is reported as fixed in versions 5.4.52, 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12. | ||||
| CVE-2026-47767 | 2 Sensiolabs, Symfony | 3 Symfony, Runtime, Symfony | 2026-07-27 | 9.8 Critical |
| Symfony is a PHP framework for web and console applications and a set of reusable PHP components. From 5.4.46 until 5.4.52, 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12, the CVE-2024-50340 fix gated runtime argv parsing on empty($_GET), but parse_str() and the web SAPI can disagree, allowing a crafted query string to leave $_GET empty while $_SERVER['argv'] still carries attacker-controlled --env or --no-debug flags that change APP_ENV or APP_DEBUG. This issue is fixed in versions 5.4.52, 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12. | ||||
