| CVE-2026-114349 | 1 Apache | 1 Kafka | 2026-11-05 | 6.5 Medium |
| When a broker decodes a compressed record batch, the per-record decoder reads a declared body size from the decompressed stream and allocates a buffer of that size before validating it against the bytes available or any configured limit. The size is attacker-controlled, and the batch CRC does not constrain it, so a small (around 90-byte), CRC-valid compressed produce request can declare a body size of up to about 2 GiB and force the broker to attempt that allocation, raising OutOfMemoryError. The record size limit (max.message.bytes), the request size limit, and client/broker quotas bound only the compressed wire size, not the declared decompressed size. Impact: An authenticated principal with Write on a topic can crash broker request-handler threads (reached when a batch's codec differs from the topic's compression.type and records are re-encoded) and any consumer that fetches the record, denying service. On brokers started with -XX:+ExitOnOutOfMemoryError, a common hardening, a single crafted request terminates the broker JVM. More seriously, a crafted record is accepted at ingest and written to disk; when the log-cleaner later reads it on a compacted topic, the OutOfMemoryError (an Error, not an Exception) terminates the cleaner thread, which is not restarted. With the default of a single cleaner thread, log compaction then stops for the entire broker, including the internal __consumer_offsets and __transaction_state topics, and the condition persists across restarts until the offending record is removed. The impact is availability only; no data is disclosed or altered. Mitigation: Upgrade to Apache Kafka 4.2.2, 4.3.2, or 4.4.0, and set max.decompressed.message.bytes (at the broker and/or topic level) to a bounded value appropriate for your workload. Upgrading alone is not sufficient: for backward compatibility this configuration defaults to an effectively unlimited value (about 2 GiB), so a broker remains exposed until the limit is set. Choose a value at or slightly above the largest legitimate decompressed record your applications produce, and comfortably below the broker heap divided by the number of request-handler and cleaner threads. Until you can upgrade and configure the limit, restrict Write access to trusted producers; quotas and max.message.bytes do not mitigate this issue. Resolution: From Apache Kafka 4.2.2, 4.3.2, and 4.4.0: the broker validates a record's declared decompressed body size against max.decompressed.message.bytes before allocating, on the produce-validation, log-compaction, and timestamp-lookup paths, and rejects oversized or negative sizes with InvalidRecordException. Operators must set this configuration to a bounded value to be protected, as its default is effectively unlimited. | ||||
| CVE-2026-59048 | 1 Google | 1 Android | 2026-11-05 | 5.5 Medium |
| In rb_cpu_init of trace.c, there is a possible out-of-bounds read due to an incorrect bounds check. This could lead to local information disclosure with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. | ||||
| CVE-2026-94395 | 1 Thalesgroup | 1 Safenet Authentication Client Sis Token Engine | 2026-11-05 | 6.8 Medium |
| A stack-based buffer overflow in Thales SafeNet Authentication Client (SAC) SIS token engine processing can be triggered by a malicious physical or software-emulated smart card. The issue can occur before authentication or PIN entry and may cause a denial of service or potentially arbitrary code execution with the privileges of the affected process. Affected releases start with SAC 10.8 R7 and include SAC 10.9 R3 GA (build 10.9.7449). | ||||
| CVE-2026-123200 | 2026-11-05 | 7.5 High | ||
| VRPN through 07.36 contains an out-of-bounds stack write vulnerability in vrpn_Endpoint::handle_sender_message() and handle_type_message() that allows unauthenticated remote peers to write outside a stack buffer via an unchecked length index. Attackers can connect, complete the version-cookie exchange, and send a SENDER_DESCRIPTION or TYPE_DESCRIPTION message with an out-of-range or negative index to crash the process. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116648 | 1 Tanium | 1 Discover | 2026-11-05 | 4.1 Medium |
| Tanium addressed an improper output sanitization vulnerability in Discover. | ||||
| CVE-2026-42169 | 2 Gimp, Redhat | 6 Gimp, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 3 more | 2026-11-05 | 7.3 High |
| A heap-buffer-overflow vulnerability exists in the APNG (Animated PNG) file loader of GIMP. This flaw occurs when the `fcTL` width exceeds the `IHDR` width, leading to pixel data being written past the end of a heap allocation. Additionally, a heap-based buffer overflow exists in the DDS plug-in due to a BPP mismatch in the `load_layer()` function. Both vulnerabilities can be triggered by opening a specially crafted image file, potentially leading to code execution. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116574 | 1 Signalwire | 1 Freeswitch | 2026-11-05 | 5.9 Medium |
| FreeSWITCH is a Software Defined Telecom Stack enabling the digital transformation from proprietary telecom switches to a software implementation that runs on any commodity hardware. Prior to 1.11.2, switch_xml_ampencode() reserved only ten bytes for the widest numeric character reference produced from a four-byte UTF-8 sequence, omitting space for the terminating NUL. When remote-supplied text was serialized at the exact buffer-growth boundary, the terminator wrote one byte beyond the heap allocation. Reachable surfaces include mod_xml_cdr, conference and formatted CDR XML, XML Event Socket output, and XML API output that serializes caller-controlled values. The fixed zero-byte write can abort the process or truncate an adjacent object, while remote code execution has not been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 1.11.2. | ||||
| CVE-2026-115928 | 1 Signalwire | 1 Freeswitch | 2026-11-05 | 7.5 High |
| FreeSWITCH is a Software Defined Telecom Stack enabling the digital transformation from proprietary telecom switches to a software implementation that runs on any commodity hardware. Prior to 1.11.2, switch_core_media_add_crypto() passed the encoded key and salt length from an inbound SDP a=crypto attribute to switch_b64_decode() as the destination capacity. A zero-length key and salt made that capacity underflow, allowing the decoded attribute to overflow a fixed stack buffer with sender-chosen bytes before the call was answered. On the shipped external profile, an unauthenticated caller can reach the SDES-SRTP parser, while profiles that challenge inbound calls remain affected for senders who can authenticate; setting rtp_secure_media_inbound to false removes the path, and WebRTC DTLS-SRTP legs are unaffected. The overflow corrupts memory and can crash the FreeSWITCH process, dropping every active call, although remote code execution has not been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 1.11.2. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116787 | 1 Signalwire | 1 Freeswitch | 2026-11-05 | 7.5 High |
| FreeSWITCH is a Software Defined Telecom Stack enabling the digital transformation from proprietary telecom switches to a software implementation that runs on any commodity hardware. Prior to 1.11.2, mod_event_socket used an unauthenticated Content-Length value directly as the allocation size for an Event Socket message body. Negative or extremely large values could overflow the terminator calculation or force an allocation failure through a helper that aborts the FreeSWITCH process. The header is parsed before the Event Socket password, so any host admitted by apply-inbound-acl can trigger termination with its first packet; the default loopback ACL limits ordinary installations to local clients. The outbound socket dialplan path is also affected when FreeSWITCH connects to a hostile application server, and process termination drops every active call until the service is restarted. This issue is fixed in version 1.11.2. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116785 | 1 Signalwire | 1 Freeswitch | 2026-11-05 | 9.1 Critical |
| FreeSWITCH is a Software Defined Telecom Stack enabling the digital transformation from proprietary telecom switches to a software implementation that runs on any commodity hardware. Prior to 1.11.2, ws_read_frame() decoded a WebSocket frame's 64-bit extended payload length with a 32-bit byte swap and narrowed the result into a signed length. A value whose surviving low word became negative bypassed the signed size check and was reinterpreted as an enormous unsigned count, causing client bytes to overwrite memory beyond the 64 KiB receive buffer. Any client completing a /socket WebSocket upgrade on an enabled mod_xml_rpc endpoint reached the parser before HTTP authentication; both the module and WebSocket endpoint are disabled by default. The heap overwrite can corrupt connection pointers and crash FreeSWITCH, ending every concurrent session, although remote code execution has not been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 1.11.2. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116780 | 1 Signalwire | 1 Freeswitch | 2026-11-05 | 2.7 Low |
| FreeSWITCH is a Software Defined Telecom Stack enabling the digital transformation from proprietary telecom switches to a software implementation that runs on any commodity hardware. Prior to 1.11.2, switch_event_expand_headers_check() advanced beyond its heap copy when a positive offset in ${variable:offset} exceeded the variable value's length. The following length calculation and copy appended adjacent heap memory to the expansion result, potentially exposing channel variables, credentials, allocator data, and pointer bytes. The flaw is reachable through configuration templates that slice remote input and through authenticated Event Socket eval or Event Socket expand commands; the separate channel-variable expander used by ordinary dialplan slicing is unaffected. The requester cannot choose adjacent memory and disclosure stops at a zero byte, but repeated expansion can influence the layout. This issue is fixed in version 1.11.2. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116788 | 1 Signalwire | 1 Freeswitch | 2026-11-05 | 8.2 High |
| FreeSWITCH is an open-source software telecommunications platform. Before version 1.11.2, an integer underflow in switch_xml_decode() can cause an undersized heap allocation when an XML document declares an entity with an empty replacement value. Subsequent copying overruns the allocated buffer. An unauthenticated attacker who can reach a SIP profile with presence management enabled and DTD processing permitted can trigger the vulnerability through a crafted SIP PUBLISH request. Exploitation can corrupt heap memory and terminate the FreeSWITCH process, interrupting all active calls. This vulnerability is fixed in version 1.11.2. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116573 | 1 Signalwire | 1 Freeswitch | 2026-11-05 | 6.5 Medium |
| FreeSWITCH is an open-source software telecommunications platform. From 1.10.0 until 1.11.1, a stack-based buffer overflow in mod_sofia when generating dialog-event notifications. A peer can establish a dialog with an excessively long SIP To-header user part and subsequently subscribe to that entity’s dialog events, causing the stored value to overflow a fixed-size stack buffer. Exploitation requires presence or shared-appearance management to be enabled and normally requires valid profile credentials, unless subscription authentication is disabled. The overflow can terminate the FreeSWITCH process and all active calls. This vulnerability is fixed in version 1.11.2. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116568 | 1 Signalwire | 1 Freeswitch | 2026-11-05 | 7.5 High |
| FreeSWITCH is a Software Defined Telecom Stack enabling the digital transformation from proprietary telecom switches to a software implementation that runs on any commodity hardware. Prior to 1.11.2, rtmp_rtmp2rtpH264() trusted the length prefix of each inbound H.264 NAL unit without checking it against the bytes remaining in the RTMP message. An oversized declared unit underflowed the unsigned remaining-byte counter and advanced the parser beyond its receive buffer, where the next length-prefix read could crash the process. The flaw affects deployments that build and load mod_rtmp and accept video call sessions, commonly on TCP port 1935; placing the call requires a directory login where auth-calls is true, while no credentials are required where auth-calls is absent or false. A remote client can terminate FreeSWITCH and every active call, but the defect supplies no write primitive and memory disclosure has not been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 1.11.2. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116570 | 1 Signalwire | 1 Freeswitch | 2026-11-05 | 7.5 High |
| FreeSWITCH is a Software Defined Telecom Stack enabling the digital transformation from proprietary telecom switches to a software implementation that runs on any commodity hardware. Prior to 1.11.2, http_directory_auth() rebuilt an expected user@domain:password credential and base64-encoded it into an 80-byte buffer using an encoder without an output-length argument. A configured credential longer than 57 characters overflowed the stack before the supplied HTTP Basic password was compared. An unauthenticated client only needed to name an existing directory user on an exposed mod_xml_rpc HTTP listener; the module is built but not loaded by the stock configuration. The overflow can corrupt the stack and crash FreeSWITCH, ending every active call, although the overrun bytes come from the configured credential and remote code execution has not been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 1.11.2. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116571 | 1 Signalwire | 1 Freeswitch | 2026-11-05 | 5.9 Medium |
| FreeSWITCH is a Software Defined Telecom Stack enabling the digital transformation from proprietary telecom switches to a software implementation that runs on any commodity hardware. Prior to 1.11.2, rtmp_rtp2rtmpH264() built an AVC decoder configuration record in a fixed stack buffer by copying wire-derived SPS and PPS values without checking that their sizes and framing fit. An established H.264 call bridged toward an RTMP endpoint could supply oversized SPS and PPS parameter sets and overrun the function's stack frame. The flaw affects only deployments that build and load mod_rtmp and bridge RTP media into an RTMP leg; the module is disabled in the stock build and configuration. The corruption can abort FreeSWITCH and terminate every active call, and builds without stack protection receive a limited stack-write primitive, although code execution has not been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 1.11.2. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116567 | 1 Signalwire | 1 Freeswitch | 2026-11-05 | 7.5 High |
| FreeSWITCH is a Software Defined Telecom Stack enabling the digital transformation from proprietary telecom switches to a software implementation that runs on any commodity hardware. Prior to 1.11.2, rtmp_handle_control() rendered an RTMP user-control message into a 200-byte stack buffer using an unbounded sprintf loop controlled by the wire message length. A body of roughly 70 bytes or more overflowed the stack before any RTMP login, because the handshake authenticates neither side. The flaw affects deployments that build and load mod_rtmp, which is disabled in the stock build and configuration but commonly exposes a listener on TCP port 1935 when enabled. One unauthenticated message can crash FreeSWITCH and end every active call; the constrained ASCII hex output has not yielded control-flow hijacking. This issue is fixed in version 1.11.2. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116781 | 1 Signalwire | 1 Freeswitch | 2026-11-05 | 5.3 Medium |
| FreeSWITCH is a Software Defined Telecom Stack enabling the digital transformation from proprietary telecom switches to a software implementation that runs on any commodity hardware. Prior to 1.11.2, ws_read_frame() unmasked a WebSocket payload by iterating wsh->datalen, which included frame headers, while indexing from the payload pointer. A masked frame filling the 64 KiB receive buffer could therefore XOR up to 14 bytes beyond the buffer, and the exact-capacity case also wrote a terminating NUL one byte out of bounds. The flaw is reachable before authentication when mod_xml_rpc and its opt-in WebSocket endpoint are enabled, while both features are disabled in the stock configuration. The writes remain within the same connection handle's adjacent outbound buffer, so neither a process crash nor cross-session disclosure has been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 1.11.2. | ||||
| CVE-2026-116783 | 1 Signalwire | 1 Freeswitch | 2026-11-05 | 8.2 High |
| FreeSWITCH is a Software Defined Telecom Stack enabling the digital transformation from proprietary telecom switches to a software implementation that runs on any commodity hardware. Prior to 1.11.2, udptl_rx_packet() used a peer-controlled FEC entry count directly to fill five-entry FEC arrays in a mod_spandsp T.38 session. A larger count wrote sender-controlled error-recovery data beyond those arrays and persisted the oversized count for a later reconstruction pass. Any peer able to deliver UDPTL to an established T.38 fax session can reach the parser, including deployments using fax applications or a T.38 gateway. The memory corruption can crash FreeSWITCH and end every active call, although remote code execution has not been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 1.11.2. | ||||
| CVE-2026-43958 | 1 Redhat | 5 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Rhel E4s and 2 more | 2026-11-05 | 7.8 High |
| A flaw was found in rrdcached, a component of rrdtool. A local attacker with access to a rrdcached socket can exploit a stack-based buffer overflow by sending an oversized CREATE request. This vulnerability can lead to a denial of service by crashing the daemon or potentially allow for arbitrary code execution, impacting the integrity and confidentiality of data. | ||||
