| CVE-2026-97185 | 2 Gimp, Redhat | 4 Gimp, Enterprise Linux, Rhel E4s and 1 more | 2026-11-05 | 7.8 High |
| A flaw was found in GIMP. When processing a specially crafted GIMPressionist preset file, the plug-in does not properly validate vector indices before writing into fixed-size arrays. This can lead to an out-of-bounds write, corrupting memory. An attacker could exploit this by convincing a user to load a malicious preset file, potentially causing a crash or enabling arbitrary code execution. | ||||
| CVE-2026-90949 | 1 Redhat | 2 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Els | 2026-11-05 | 7.8 High |
| A flaw was found in GIMP's PSP (Paint Shop Pro) file loader. When processing a compressed selection channel, a heap-based buffer overflow can occur due to a mismatch between the allocated buffer size and the amount of data decompressed. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by crafting a malicious PSP file. Opening this file in GIMP could lead to a crash or arbitrary code execution. | ||||
| CVE-2026-90948 | 1 Redhat | 3 Enterprise Linux, Rhel E4s, Rhel Els | 2026-11-05 | 7.8 High |
| A flaw was found in GIMP's ICO file loader. When processing an ICO file containing an embedded PNG image, an integer overflow can occur during the calculation of the required buffer size. This leads to an undersized buffer being allocated, causing a heap-based buffer overflow when the decoded pixel data is written. A remote attacker could exploit this by crafting a malicious ICO file, which, when opened, could lead to arbitrary code execution or a crash. | ||||
| CVE-2026-90947 | 1 Redhat | 3 Enterprise Linux, Rhel E4s, Rhel Els | 2026-11-05 | 7.8 High |
| A flaw was found in GIMP. When processing a specially crafted lighting preset file, the Lighting Effects filter does not properly validate the number of light sources. This can lead to an out-of-bounds write, corrupting memory. An attacker could exploit this by convincing a user to open a malicious preset file, potentially causing a crash or enabling arbitrary code execution. | ||||
| CVE-2026-86565 | 3 Dpdk, Red Hat, Redhat | 8 Dpdk, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux and 5 more | 2026-11-04 | 8.2 High |
| A flaw was found in DPDK lib/vhost. A guest can desynchronize virtqueue size from inflight descriptor table size, causing an out-of-bounds write in the host vhost process. | ||||
| CVE-2026-86476 | 1 Redhat | 2 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Els | 2026-11-04 | 8.4 High |
| A flaw was found in gst-plugins-base. A heap buffer overflow can be triggered when processing video buffers whose attached GstVideoMeta metadata declares plane strides and offsets that exceed the actual backing memory allocation. The metadata is not range-checked during deserialization, and the video frame mapping code does not verify that the declared plane geometry fits within the buffer before allowing consumers to read or write video data. A local attacker who controls the sending side of a GStreamer inter-process IPC pipeline can deliver a crafted buffer carrying fabricated strides, causing the receiving process to read or write beyond heap boundaries. Successful exploitation can cause a denial of service or potentially allow code execution within the affected process. | ||||
| CVE-2026-81627 | 2 Qemu, Redhat | 9 Qemu, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux For Nvidia 26 and 6 more | 2026-11-04 | 8.2 High |
| A flaw was found in QEMU. The VAPIC setup hypercall in hw/i386/vapic.c does not validate that the writable RAM alias remains within the option ROM window. A privileged guest user on a Q35/KVM machine can position this alias over locked SMRAM, bypassing chipset D_LCK protection and injecting code into System Management Mode memory. | ||||
| CVE-2026-61626 | 1 Libass | 1 Libass | 2026-11-04 | N/A |
| libass is a portable subtitle renderer for the ASS/SSA (Advanced Substation Alpha/Substation Alpha) subtitle format. From 0.17.4 until 0.17.5, libass event pruning does not guard negative Matroska `ReadOrder` values, allowing an attacker to clear arbitrarily many bits to zero at attacker-controlled positions near the NULL pointer. Exploitation requires a malicious Matroska stream loaded through `ass_process_chunk`, enabled read-order checking, and later pruning of the malicious events. Read-order checking is enabled by default unless `ass_set_check_readorder` is called with zero; pruning must occur explicitly through `ass_prune_events` or through automatic pruning previously enabled with `ass_configure_prune`. On common systems with arithmetic right shift, 32-bit int values, the upper address region reserved to the kernel, and matching binary/kernel architecture, the expected consequence is denial of service. More extensive exploitation on uncommon systems is theoretical and strongly constrained by the target addresses, bit-clearing-only mutation, and ASLR. This issue is fixed in version 0.17.5. | ||||
| CVE-2026-119719 | 1 Blender | 1 Blender | 2026-11-04 | 7.8 High |
| Blender before 4.5.15 and 5.x before 5.2.3 contains a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the blend file thumbnail extractor caused by 32-bit integer overflow in thumb_data_vertical_flip(). Attackers can craft a .blend file with malicious TEST block dimensions that trigger an out-of-bounds write when blender-thumbnailer or the Windows shell extension previews it, causing crashes or code execution. | ||||
| CVE-2026-104064 | 1 Scribus | 1 Scribus | 2026-11-04 | 7.8 High |
| Scribus before 1.6.7 and 1.7.x before 1.7.4 contains an integer overflow vulnerability in the scimgdataloader_tiff TIFF loader that allows attackers to trigger a heap overflow via crafted tile dimensions. Attackers can supply a tiled TIFF with large tile width, height and sample values for a user to import, corrupting heap memory to crash Scribus or execute code. | ||||
| CVE-2026-55368 | 1 H2o | 1 H2o | 2026-11-04 | 8.1 High |
| h2o is an HTTP server with support for HTTP/1.x, HTTP/2 and HTTP/3. Prior to commit 48b7ae12107fd2b118e4641da49599e9aac8edd8, H2O's access-log formatter could write past its log-line buffer when an affected custom access-log format was configured. The allocation errors affected %{error}x, %q when the query string was empty, and numeric elements whose temporary terminating NUL reached the end of the buffer. A matching request could crash the server, while the effect of the one-byte NUL overwrite beyond a crash was not established. This vulnerability is fixed with commit 48b7ae12107fd2b118e4641da49599e9aac8edd8. | ||||
| CVE-2026-59691 | 2 Gstreamer, Redhat | 9 Gstreamer, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 6 more | 2026-11-04 | 7.1 High |
| A heap buffer overflow vulnerability was found in GStreamer's rfbsrc plugin. When a client connects to a malicious RFB/VNC server that advertises a 16bpp framebuffer and sends Hextile-encoded updates, the Hextile background fill path writes 32-bit pixel values into a buffer allocated for 16-bit pixels. This type mismatch causes an out-of-bounds heap write that can lead to denial of service (process crash) and potential memory corruption. | ||||
| CVE-2026-59091 | 2 Gimp, Redhat | 3 Gimp, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Els | 2026-11-04 | 7.3 High |
| A flaw was found in GIMP's file format plugins, including those for PSD and PAA files. A remote attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted image file. This could lead to unexpected application behavior or other potential security impacts without requiring further user interaction. | ||||
| CVE-2026-59087 | 2 Gimp, Redhat | 3 Gimp, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Els | 2026-11-04 | 7.8 High |
| A flaw was found in the GIMP image manipulation program, specifically within its Seattle Filmworks file loader. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted Seattle Filmworks file. This could lead to a heap overflow, allowing the attacker to write several kilobytes of controlled data beyond the intended memory buffer. Such an overflow can result in memory corruption, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution or a denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2026-77372 | 2026-11-04 | N/A | ||
| VeraCrypt provides disk encryption with strong security based on TrueCrypt. Prior to 1.26.30, the Unix, macOS, and FreeBSD serialization paths in src/Platform/Serializer.cpp and src/Volume/VolumePassword.cpp accept untrusted length and count values when deserializing data that can cross from the unprivileged GUI or CLI to the root CoreService helper. Serializer::DeserializeWString allocates floor(size / sizeof(wchar_t)) elements but reads size bytes, so a non-aligned size can overflow the heap allocation. VolumePassword::Deserialize accepts PasswordSize values larger than the fixed 128-byte PasswordBuffer, allowing downstream DataPtr() and Size() consumers such as the KDF to read beyond the buffer. DeserializeString, DeserializeWString, and the string and wide-string list readers also lack allocation and collection bounds, which can exhaust memory, and a zero-length DeserializeString can access an empty vector. Windows uses a different path, and the immediate CoreService pipe writer is the same-user parent process, so the documented exposure is a local defense-in-depth boundary rather than a remote attack. This issue is fixed in 1.26.30. | ||||
| CVE-2026-56211 | 2 Aomedia, Redhat | 7 Libaom, Ai Inference Server, Enterprise Linux and 4 more | 2026-11-04 | 7.1 High |
| A remote code execution vulnerability was found in libaom, the reference AV1 codec implementation. Insufficient bounds validation in the AV1 encoder's SVC (Scalable Video Coding) layer ID control allows an attacker to supply crafted video frame pixels that overlap with internal encoder layer context structures. In fork-based video processing services, an attacker can use this to hijack the cyclic refresh map pointer, brute-force the process base address via a crash oracle, and redirect control flow to achieve arbitrary command execution. Exploitation requires the target service to use libaom with SVC encoding enabled and accept attacker-supplied video frames. | ||||
| CVE-2026-56209 | 2 Aomedia, Redhat | 7 Libaom, Ai Inference Server, Enterprise Linux and 4 more | 2026-11-04 | 7.1 High |
| An arbitrary address write vulnerability was found in libaom, the reference AV1 codec implementation. A missing bounds check in the SVC (Scalable Video Coding) layer ID control function allows an attacker to inject an arbitrary pointer into the cyclic refresh map field via crafted image pixel values. The encoder then writes approximately 1,200 bytes at the attacker-controlled address. This is fully deterministic and does not require a separate information leak. An attacker who can supply frames to a network-facing libaom encoder with SVC enabled could exploit this for denial of service or potential code execution. | ||||
| CVE-2026-50264 | 2 Redhat, X.org | 11 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Rhel Aus and 8 more | 2026-11-04 | 7.8 High |
| An out-of-bounds write flaw was found in the X.Org X server and Xwayland in DRIGetBuffers/DRIGetBuffersWithFormat. A client that requests multiple DRI2BufferBackLeft attachments and one DRI2BufferFrontLeft can trigger an out-of-bounds heap write. This may be used to crash the server, or for privilege escalation if the X server runs as root. | ||||
| CVE-2026-119777 | 2 Red Hat, Redhat | 3 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Els | 2026-11-04 | 8.8 High |
| A flaw was found in GStreamer's gst-plugins-bad H.266/VVC parser. When processing a malformed H.266 media file or stream, an integer overflow while parsing profile, tier, and level fields can lead to a stack-based buffer overflow. An attacker could cause an application to crash and may be able to execute code in the context of the affected application. | ||||
| CVE-2026-13732 | 1 Redhat | 6 Cost Management On Premise, Enterprise Linux, Hardened Images and 3 more | 2026-11-04 | 7 High |
| A flaw was found in GDB's STABS debug format parser. The read_member_functions() function in gdb/stabsread.c contains a linked list removal bug in the code that separates destructor and non-destructor member functions of C++ classes. The bug causes the destructor entries to remain in the main function list while the list length counter is decremented, resulting in an out-of-bounds write when the function list is copied to its final allocated array. An attacker can craft an ELF binary with malicious .stab and .stabstr sections that triggers this out-of-bounds write when a user opens the file in GDB and performs any symbol-inspection operation such as setting a breakpoint. The inferior process does not need to be executed. Under controlled conditions, this was demonstrated to achieve execution of arbitrary commands within the GDB process. | ||||
