CVE-2025-26601 3 Redhat, Tigervnc, X.org 9 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus, Rhel E4s and 6 more 2026-11-04 7.8 High
A use-after-free flaw was found in X.Org and Xwayland. When changing an alarm, the values of the change mask are evaluated one after the other, changing the trigger values as requested, and eventually, SyncInitTrigger() is called. If one of the changes triggers an error, the function will return early, not adding the new sync object, possibly causing a use-after-free when the alarm eventually triggers.
CVE-2025-26600 3 Redhat, Tigervnc, X.org 9 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus, Rhel E4s and 6 more 2026-11-04 7.8 High
A use-after-free flaw was found in X.Org and Xwayland. When a device is removed while still frozen, the events queued for that device remain while the device is freed. Replaying the events will cause a use-after-free.
CVE-2025-26598 3 Redhat, Tigervnc, X.org 9 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus, Rhel E4s and 6 more 2026-11-04 7.8 High
An out-of-bounds write flaw was found in X.Org and Xwayland. The function GetBarrierDevice() searches for the pointer device based on its device ID and returns the matching value, or supposedly NULL, if no match was found. However, the code will return the last element of the list if no matching device ID is found, which can lead to out-of-bounds memory access.
CVE-2025-26599 3 Redhat, Tigervnc, X.org 9 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus, Rhel E4s and 6 more 2026-11-04 7.8 High
An access to an uninitialized pointer flaw was found in X.Org and Xwayland. The function compCheckRedirect() may fail if it cannot allocate the backing pixmap. In that case, compRedirectWindow() will return a BadAlloc error without validating the window tree marked just before, which leaves the validated data partly initialized and the use of an uninitialized pointer later.
CVE-2025-26597 3 Redhat, Tigervnc, X.org 9 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus, Rhel E4s and 6 more 2026-11-04 7.8 High
A buffer overflow flaw was found in X.Org and Xwayland. If XkbChangeTypesOfKey() is called with a 0 group, it will resize the key symbols table to 0 but leave the key actions unchanged. If the same function is later called with a non-zero value of groups, this will cause a buffer overflow because the key actions are of the wrong size.
CVE-2025-26596 3 Redhat, Tigervnc, X.org 9 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus, Rhel E4s and 6 more 2026-11-04 7.8 High
A heap overflow flaw was found in X.Org and Xwayland. The computation of the length in XkbSizeKeySyms() differs from what is written in XkbWriteKeySyms(), which may lead to a heap-based buffer overflow.
CVE-2025-26595 3 Redhat, Tigervnc, X.org 9 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus, Rhel E4s and 6 more 2026-11-04 7.8 High
A buffer overflow flaw was found in X.Org and Xwayland. The code in XkbVModMaskText() allocates a fixed-sized buffer on the stack and copies the names of the virtual modifiers to that buffer. The code fails to check the bounds of the buffer and would copy the data regardless of the size.
CVE-2025-26594 3 Redhat, Tigervnc, X.org 9 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus, Rhel E4s and 6 more 2026-11-04 7.8 High
A use-after-free flaw was found in X.Org and Xwayland. The root cursor is referenced in the X server as a global variable. If a client frees the root cursor, the internal reference points to freed memory and causes a use-after-free.
CVE-2026-88812 1 X.org 3 Xorg-server, Xorg-x11-server, Xwayland 2026-11-04 7.8 High
A double free in XKB SetGeometryin X.Org X Server before 21.1.25 and X Wayland before 24.1.14 could be used by attached clients to cause a crash or potentially code in the x server context.
CVE-2024-0409 4 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Tigervnc and 1 more 13 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 10 more 2026-11-04 7.8 High
A flaw was found in the X.Org server. The cursor code in both Xephyr and Xwayland uses the wrong type of private at creation. It uses the cursor bits type with the cursor as private, and when initiating the cursor, that overwrites the XSELINUX context.
CVE-2024-0408 4 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Tigervnc and 1 more 13 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 10 more 2026-11-04 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in the X.Org server. The GLX PBuffer code does not call the XACE hook when creating the buffer, leaving it unlabeled. When the client issues another request to access that resource (as with a GetGeometry) or when it creates another resource that needs to access that buffer, such as a GC, the XSELINUX code will try to use an object that was never labeled and crash because the SID is NULL.
CVE-2024-0229 3 Fedoraproject, Redhat, X.org 13 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Aus and 10 more 2026-11-04 7.8 High
An out-of-bounds memory access flaw was found in the X.Org server. This issue can be triggered when a device frozen by a sync grab is reattached to a different master device. This issue may lead to an application crash, local privilege escalation (if the server runs with extended privileges), or remote code execution in SSH X11 forwarding environments.
CVE-2023-6816 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat and 1 more 13 Debian Linux, Fedora, Enterprise Linux and 10 more 2026-11-04 9.8 Critical
A flaw was found in X.Org server. Both DeviceFocusEvent and the XIQueryPointer reply contain a bit for each logical button currently down. Buttons can be arbitrarily mapped to any value up to 255, but the X.Org Server was only allocating space for the device's particular number of buttons, leading to a heap overflow if a bigger value was used.
CVE-2023-6377 4 Debian, Redhat, Tigervnc and 1 more 11 Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 8 more 2026-11-04 7.8 High
A flaw was found in xorg-server. Querying or changing XKB button actions such as moving from a touchpad to a mouse can result in out-of-bounds memory reads and writes. This may allow local privilege escalation or possible remote code execution in cases where X11 forwarding is involved.
CVE-2023-6478 4 Debian, Redhat, Tigervnc and 1 more 11 Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 8 more 2026-11-04 7.6 High
A flaw was found in xorg-server. A specially crafted request to RRChangeProviderProperty or RRChangeOutputProperty can trigger an integer overflow which may lead to a disclosure of sensitive information.
CVE-2023-5367 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat and 1 more 17 Debian Linux, Fedora, Enterprise Linux and 14 more 2026-11-04 7.8 High
A out-of-bounds write flaw was found in the xorg-x11-server. This issue occurs due to an incorrect calculation of a buffer offset when copying data stored in the heap in the XIChangeDeviceProperty function in Xi/xiproperty.c and in RRChangeOutputProperty function in randr/rrproperty.c, allowing for possible escalation of privileges or denial of service.
CVE-2026-93522 1 X.org 2 Xorg-x11-server, Xwayland 2026-10-28 7.8 High
A heap buffer overflow caused by mismatched size usage in CopyArea CPU-to-FBO path in X.Org X Server before 21.1.15 and XWayland before 24.1.14 could be used by authenticated X clients to crash or potentially execute code in the X server context.
CVE-2026-93536 1 X.org 3 X Server, Xorg-x11-server, Xwayland 2026-10-28 5.3 Medium
A use after free caused by missing lifecycle management of gesture sprites in GestureBuildSprite() in X.Org X Server before 21.1.25 and XWayland before 24.1.14 could be used by authenticated X clients to crash the X server or potentially execute code.
CVE-2026-93524 1 X.org 3 X Server, Xorg-x11-server, Xwayland 2026-10-28 3.3 Low
A buffer overread in CheckKeySyms() in X.Org X Server before 21.1.25 and XWayland before 24.1.14 could be used by authenticated X clients to leak small amounts of information from X server memory or potentially crash the X server.
CVE-2026-93523 1 X.org 3 X Server, Xorg-x11-server, Xwayland 2026-10-28 7.8 High
A heap buffer overflow caused by a XIPassiveUngrabDevice request with an out-of-range modifier value in X.Org X Server before 21.1.15 and XWayland before 24.1.14 could be used by authenticated X clients to crash or potentially execute code in X server context.
