| A race condition was addressed with improved locking. This issue is fixed in Safari 27.2, iOS 26.7.2 and iPadOS 26.7.2, iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2, macOS Golden Gate 27.2, tvOS 27.2, visionOS 27.2, watchOS 27.2. Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to an unexpected process termination. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm/damon/core: error damos_commit_quota_goal() for zero target_value
Patch series "mm/damon: move zero damos quota target_value handling to the
core layer".
Having zero DAMOS quota target value can cause division by zero. DAMON
API callers are checking the target value parameters to avoid that. It is
easy to make mistakes in some of the multiple API callers. Move that to
the core layer.
Patch 1 adds the corner case handling into the core layer DAMON parameters
validation logic. Patches 2 and 3 remove no more needed DAMON API callers
side handling of the corner case in DAMON_LRU_SORT and DMON_SAMPLIE_MTIER,
respectively.
This patch (of 3):
If a DAMOS scheme has a damos_quota_goal of zero target_value,
damos_quota_goal() could trigger division-by-zero error. Hence each DAMON
API callers should do the zero target_value validation. It is easy to
make mistakes. Actually such bugs in DAMON_LRU_SORT and
DAMON_SAMPLE_MTIER were found and fixed [1].
It is better to handle the corner case only once in the core layer,
instead of multiple places in all DAMON API callers. One straightforward
option is using an alternative denominator for the corner case in the
damos_quota_goal(). However, the zero target_value is meaningless. In
this case, the quota goal is always evaluated as achieved or
over-achieved. The quota will only keep being reduced.
Simply avoid using zero target_value by adding a check in the core layer
DAMOS quota goal parameters validation/commit path,
damos_commit_quota_goal(). Update it to return an error in the case.
Also update its caller to propagate the error. |
| A race condition was addressed with additional validation. This issue is fixed in iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, macOS Golden Gate 27, visionOS 27. An app may be able to cause unexpected system termination or write kernel memory. |
| FreeRDP before 3.32.2 contains a use-after-free in the urbdrc USB redirection channel because FindChannelById returns a channel pointer without a reference and the control-channel close path does not take the device manager's loading_lock. A malicious RDP server can send a control-channel CLOSE_REQUEST while the client announces a USB device, freeing the channel before the announcement thread reads channel->Write and crashing the client. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: L2CAP: refuse __l2cap_chan_add if chan already has conn
l2cap_chan may be linked to l2cap_conn at most once. This is assumed in
several places, eg l2cap_chan_del cleanup.
There is a TOCTOU race where the invariant is violated:
[Task 1] [Task 2]
l2cap_chan_connect l2cap_sock_bind
l2cap_chan_lock lock_sock
l2cap_state_change if (sk->sk_state != BT_OPEN)
chan->state = BT_CONNECT
l2cap_sock_state_change_cb chan->state = BT_BOUND
sk->sk_state = BT_BOUND
lock_sock <------------------ release_sock
sk->sk_state = BT_CONNECT
l2cap_sock_connect() does not check sk->sk_state, so since chan->state
is now BT_BOUND, subsequent connect() ends up with second
__l2cap_chan_add.
Explicitly document and check the invariant in __l2cap_chan_add with
WARN_ON_ONCE. The only callsite where it could be hit is
l2cap_chan_connect, so add pre-check there to avoid relying on
chan->state. chan->state read/write is not properly guarded currently so
there can be other TOCTOUC problems.
Add l2cap_lock_chan in l2cap_sock_bind() to guard chan->state write. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tracing: Hold trace_types_lock when resetting last boot data from readers
update_last_data_if_empty() is called from tracing_open() with O_TRUNC,
tracing_read_pipe() and tracing_buffers_read() without trace_types_lock.
Two readers can both pass the LAST_BOOT test and free module_delta
twice, and a module notifier can update module_delta while it is being
freed.
Take trace_types_lock in those paths and keep the callers that already
hold it on an unlocked variant. |
| A flaw was found in the DPDK vhost library. When handling a virtio indirect descriptor table, the host reads the table length more than once from guest memory and can allocate a host copy before validating that length. A guest that changes the length between those reads, or that supplies an out-of-range next index on a small host copy in the vDPA relay path, can cause the host vhost process to walk past the validated mapping or heap copy. That can crash or disrupt the vhost process. Out-of-bounds bytes are consumed as descriptor fields for GPA translation and are not returned to the guest as payload. This is a residual issue in the non-contiguous indirect descriptor copy path introduced as part of the CVE-2018-1059 fix. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Mark syscall helpers as sleepable
bpf_sys_bpf() executes the bpf(2) syscall body, which can take mutexes,
allocate with GFP_KERNEL, and wait for an RCU grace period.
bpf_sys_close() reaches close_fd() and filp_close(), which can sleep as
well.
Both helpers are limited to BPF_PROG_TYPE_SYSCALL, whose main program is
sleepable. That does not make every callback sleepable: a syscall program
can register a bpf_timer callback, and the verifier checks that callback
in a non-sleepable context while retaining the syscall helper set.
Without .might_sleep on the prototypes, such a callback can invoke
bpf_sys_bpf() from hrtimer softirq context and trigger a
scheduling-while-atomic failure. bpf_sys_close() is exposed through the
same missing context check.
Set .might_sleep on both prototypes so the existing helper-context check
rejects them from timer callbacks and other atomic regions. Calls from the
sleepable main body remain valid. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
printk: Postpone kthread startup
There have been various bug reports related to SMP systems hanging
on boot. The reports vary but seem to have some overlap with regard
to missed IPI's during SMP setup. The reports also show that
reverting NBCON console usage allows the bugs to disappear.
The NBCON kthreads for console printing are started very early
during boot using early_initcall(). Since these kthreads are
asynchronously enabling/disabling interrupts during early boot, they
may be interfering with early SMP setup on some hardware platforms.
Starting the console printing kthreads later has shown to avoid the
hanging on systems that could previously reproduce the issue.
Postpone kthread starting until after all arch initcalls have
completed. |
| FreeRDP before 3.32.2 contains a denial of service vulnerability in the RDPGFX ALPHA WIRETOSURFACE_2 handler that fails to validate zero surface dimensions. A malicious RDP server can send a crafted WIRETOSURFACE_2 PDU with zero width and height, triggering an assertion or division by zero that terminates the client session. |
| Tokio is a runtime for writing applications with Rust. In 1.54.0, a race condition between tokio::time::Interval::poll_tick (including .tick().await) and the multi-threaded runtime's time driver could drop an internal timer entry without synchronizing with the driver thread that was firing it. The race caused a use-after-free on the timer's waker and task state in safe Rust, which could produce assertion panics, task reference-count corruption, or heap memory corruption. This issue is fixed in 1.54.1. |
| A race condition was addressed with improved state handling. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27.2, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2. An app may be able to gain root privileges. |
| MacCMS v10 through 2026.1000.4056 contains a race condition vulnerability in Card::useData() that allows authenticated members to redeem one recharge card multiple times via the user/buy endpoint. Attackers can send many concurrent flag=card requests that pass the non-locking card read before it is marked used, inflating user_points to buy VIP upgrades and paid content. |
| A race condition was addressed with additional validation. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27.2, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2. An app may be able to gain root privileges. |
| NVIDIA nvJPEG contains a vulnerability where an attacker could cause a divide-by-zero. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to denial of service. |
| CherryTree through 1.7.2 contains a path traversal vulnerability in CtStorageXmlHelper::_create_image_from_xml that trusts unvalidated embedded-file 'filename' attributes in XML documents. Attackers can craft a .ctd, .ctz, or .ctx document with an absolute or ~/ filename and no data, so saving embeds files like ~/.ssh/id_rsa into the document. |
| In multiple functions of base.c, there is a possible use-after-free due to a race condition. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
| In multiple functions of dma-buf.c, there is a possible use after free due to a race condition. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
| In multiple locations, there is a possible use-after-free due to a race condition. This could lead to remote escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
