CVSS v3.1 |
| Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in the make_variant_list function in mod_negotiation.c in the mod_negotiation module in the Apache HTTP Server 2.4.x before 2.4.3, when the MultiViews option is enabled, allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a crafted filename that is not properly handled during construction of a variant list. |
| mod_cluster in JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 5.1.2 for Red Hat Linux allows worker nodes to register with arbitrary virtual hosts, which allows remote attackers to bypass intended access restrictions and provide malicious content, hijack sessions, and steal credentials by registering from an external vhost that does not enforce security constraints. |
| The (1) JNDI service, (2) HA-JNDI service, and (3) HAJNDIFactory invoker servlet in JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 4.3.0 CP10 and 5.1.2, Web Platform 5.1.2, SOA Platform 4.2.0.CP05 and 4.3.0.CP05, Portal Platform 4.3 CP07 and 5.2.x before 5.2.2, and BRMS Platform before 5.3.0 do not properly restrict write access, which allows remote attackers to add, delete, or modify items in a JNDI tree via unspecified vectors. |
| The org.jboss.remoting.transport.bisocket.BisocketServerInvoker$SecondaryServerSocketThread.run method in JBoss Remoting 2.2.x before 2.2.3.SP4 and 2.5.x before 2.5.3.SP2 in Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (aka JBoss EAP or JBEAP) 4.3 through 4.3.0.CP09, and 5.1.0; and JBoss Enterprise Web Platform (aka JBEWP) 5.1.0; allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (daemon outage) by establishing a bisocket control connection TCP session, and then not sending any application data. |
| The SSL 3.0 implementation in OpenSSL before 0.9.8s and 1.x before 1.0.0f does not properly initialize data structures for block cipher padding, which might allow remote attackers to obtain sensitive information by decrypting the padding data sent by an SSL peer. |
| The EJB invocation handler implementation in Red Hat JBossWS, as used in JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) before 6.2.0, does not properly enforce the method level restrictions for JAX-WS Service endpoints, which allows remote authenticated users to access otherwise restricted JAX-WS handlers by leveraging permissions to the EJB class. |
| The serialization implementation in JBoss Drools in Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (aka JBoss EAP or JBEAP) 4.3 before 4.3.0.CP09 and JBoss Enterprise SOA Platform 4.2 and 4.3 supports the embedding of class files, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted static initializer. |
| Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the JMX console in JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) before 5.2.0, Web Platform (EWP) before 5.2.0, BRMS Platform before 5.3.1, and SOA Platform before 5.3.1 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via unspecified vectors. |
| Race condition in hawtjni-runtime/src/main/java/org/fusesource/hawtjni/runtime/Library.java in HawtJNI before 1.8, when a custom library path is not specified, allows local users to execute arbitrary Java code by overwriting a temporary JAR file with a predictable name in /tmp. |
| message/ax/AxMessage.java in OpenID4Java before 0.9.6 final, as used in JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 5.1 before 5.1.2, Step2, Kay Framework before 1.0.2, and possibly other products does not verify that Attribute Exchange (AX) information is signed, which allows remote attackers to modify potentially sensitive AX information without detection via a man-in-the-middle (MITM) attack. |
| Apache Tomcat 5.5.0 through 5.5.29, 6.0.0 through 6.0.27, and 7.0.0 beta does not properly handle an invalid Transfer-Encoding header, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application outage) or obtain sensitive information via a crafted header that interferes with "recycling of a buffer." |
| Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (aka JBoss EAP or JBEAP) 4.2 before 4.2.0.CP09 and 4.3 before 4.3.0.CP08 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information about "deployed web contexts" via a request to the status servlet, as demonstrated by a full=true query string. NOTE: this issue exists because of a CVE-2008-3273 regression. |
| PicketBox, as used in Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform before 6.1.1, allows local users to obtain the admin encryption key by reading the Vault data file. |
| Unproper laxist permissions on the temporary files used by MIME4J TempFileStorageProvider may lead to information disclosure to other local users. This issue affects Apache James MIME4J version 0.8.8 and prior versions.
We recommend users to upgrade to MIME4j version 0.8.9 or later.

| wildfly-elytron: possible timing attacks via use of unsafe comparator. A flaw was found in Wildfly-elytron. Wildfly-elytron uses java.util.Arrays.equals in several places, which is unsafe and vulnerable to timing attacks. To compare values securely, use java.security.MessageDigest.isEqual instead. This flaw allows an attacker to access secure information or impersonate an authed user. |
| Like many other SSH implementations, Apache MINA SSHD suffered from the issue that is more widely known as CVE-2023-48795. An attacker that can intercept traffic between client and server could drop certain packets from the stream, potentially causing client and server to consequently end up with a connection for which
some security features have been downgraded or disabled, aka a Terrapin
attack
The mitigations to prevent this type of attack were implemented in Apache MINA SSHD 2.12.0, both client and server side. Users are recommended to upgrade to at least this version. Note that both the client and the server implementation must have mitigations applied against this issue, otherwise the connection may still be affected. |
| In RESTEasy the insecure File.createTempFile() is used in the DataSourceProvider, FileProvider and Mime4JWorkaround classes which creates temp files with insecure permissions that could be read by a local user. |
| The undertow client is not checking the server identity presented by the server certificate in https connections. This is a compulsory step (at least it should be performed by default) in https and in http/2. I would add it to any TLS client protocol. |
| jackson-databind 2.10.x through 2.12.x before 2.12.6 and 2.13.x before 2.13.1 allows attackers to cause a denial of service (2 GB transient heap usage per read) in uncommon situations involving JsonNode JDK serialization. |
| An infinite recursion is triggered in Jettison when constructing a JSONArray from a Collection that contains a self-reference in one of its elements. This leads to a StackOverflowError exception being thrown.
