CVE-2025-71111 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (w83791d) Convert macros to functions to avoid TOCTOU The macro FAN_FROM_REG evaluates its arguments multiple times. When used in lockless contexts involving shared driver data, this leads to Time-of-Check to Time-of-Use (TOCTOU) race conditions, potentially causing divide-by-zero errors. Convert the macro to a static function. This guarantees that arguments are evaluated only once (pass-by-value), preventing the race conditions. Additionally, in store_fan_div, move the calculation of the minimum limit inside the update lock. This ensures that the read-modify-write sequence operates on consistent data. Adhere to the principle of minimal changes by only converting macros that evaluate arguments multiple times and are used in lockless contexts.
CVE-2025-71078 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/64s/slb: Fix SLB multihit issue during SLB preload On systems using the hash MMU, there is a software SLB preload cache that mirrors the entries loaded into the hardware SLB buffer. This preload cache is subject to periodic eviction — typically after every 256 context switches — to remove old entry. To optimize performance, the kernel skips switch_mmu_context() in switch_mm_irqs_off() when the prev and next mm_struct are the same. However, on hash MMU systems, this can lead to inconsistencies between the hardware SLB and the software preload cache. If an SLB entry for a process is evicted from the software cache on one CPU, and the same process later runs on another CPU without executing switch_mmu_context(), the hardware SLB may retain stale entries. If the kernel then attempts to reload that entry, it can trigger an SLB multi-hit error. The following timeline shows how stale SLB entries are created and can cause a multi-hit error when a process moves between CPUs without a MMU context switch. CPU 0 CPU 1 ----- ----- Process P exec swapper/1 load_elf_binary begin_new_exc activate_mm switch_mm_irqs_off switch_mmu_context switch_slb /* * This invalidates all * the entries in the HW * and setup the new HW * SLB entries as per the * preload cache. */ context_switch sched_migrate_task migrates process P to cpu-1 Process swapper/0 context switch (to process P) (uses mm_struct of Process P) switch_mm_irqs_off() switch_slb load_slb++ /* * load_slb becomes 0 here * and we evict an entry from * the preload cache with * preload_age(). We still * keep HW SLB and preload * cache in sync, that is * because all HW SLB entries * anyways gets evicted in * switch_slb during SLBIA. * We then only add those * entries back in HW SLB, * which are currently * present in preload_cache * (after eviction). */ load_elf_binary continues... setup_new_exec() slb_setup_new_exec() sched_switch event sched_migrate_task migrates process P to cpu-0 context_switch from swapper/0 to Process P switch_mm_irqs_off() /* * Since both prev and next mm struct are same we don't call * switch_mmu_context(). This will cause the HW SLB and SW preload * cache to go out of sync in preload_new_slb_context. Because there * was an SLB entry which was evicted from both HW and preload cache * on cpu-1. Now later in preload_new_slb_context(), when we will try * to add the same preload entry again, we will add this to the SW * preload cache and then will add it to the HW SLB. Since on cpu-0 * this entry was never invalidated, hence adding this entry to the HW * SLB will cause a SLB multi-hit error. */ load_elf_binary cont ---truncated---
CVE-2026-100805 1 Mozilla 2 Firefox, Thunderbird 2026-10-19 7.5 High

CVE-2026-85248 1 Apache 2 Apache Camel, Camel 2026-10-19 5.9 Medium
Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition') vulnerability in Apache Camel PQC component. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.12.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.1. The producer held a single java.security.Signature instance and used it for every exchange without synchronizing access. Signature is stateful and is not thread safe: update() accumulates the data to be signed or verified, and verify() consumes that accumulated state. With concurrent exchanges sharing one instance the update and verify calls of different messages interleave, so a verification can complete against data that belongs to another exchange, or against a partially accumulated buffer. The outcome is non-deterministic and includes a verification reporting success for a message whose signature was never actually checked, which defeats the guarantee the component exists to provide. Reaching it requires concurrent traffic through the same endpoint, which is the ordinary condition for a Camel route under load. Upgrade to Apache Camel 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. Users on the 4.18.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.18.5. Users on the 4.22.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.22.1. The Signature instance is no longer shared across concurrent exchanges. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately, restrict the affected route to a single concurrent consumer so that no two exchanges use the instance at once.

CVE-2026-98624 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nfnetlink_queue: hold nfnl mutex in event notifier We must serialize the release notifier and the config netlink function. A concurrent thread can issue close() which can call the release function while unrelated socket processes UNBIND request for same portid: Oops: general protection fault, [..] RIP: 0010:__instance_destroy+0x60/0x210 [nfnetlink_queue] Call Trace: nfqnl_recv_config+0x9b0/0xdc0 [nfnetlink_queue] nfnetlink_rcv_msg+0x7c2/0xeb0 ? __pfx_nfnetlink_rcv_msg+0x10/0x10 After this, parallel UNBIND and URELEASE events are impossible. This change isn't nice, but its the shortest fix given instances are not refcounted and the nfnetlink config callback drops the rcu read lock early due to need for sleeping allocations.
CVE-2026-98650 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: s390: Fix potential races in dat skey functions When dat_cond_set_storage_key() finds a large page, it will conditionally set the storage key in absolute memory using large_crste_to_phys() to get the absolute address. There is a race window between dat_entry_walk() and large_crste_to_phys(): the large page could have been split concurrently, and large_crste_to_phys() might be called with a crste that does not designate a large page, leading to crashes. Similar issues were also present in dat_set_storage_key(). dat_get_storage_key() and dat_reset_reference_bit() did instead check for a potential concurrent splitting of the large page, but then handled it incorrectly. Fix by performing a READ_ONCE on the crste pointer, checking and using the result, instead of dereferencing the pointer again. In case a race is detacted, try dat_entry_walk() again.
CVE-2026-98639 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 5.8 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: riscv: Fix NACL hfence entry update order The SBI v3.0 specification (section 15.1.2) requires a nested HFENCE entry to be populated as follows: 1) find an unused entry with Config.Pending == 0 2) update the Page_Number and Page_Count words 3) update the Config word with Config.Pending set __kvm_riscv_nacl_hfence() writes the Config word first, so the SBI implementation (or NACL hardware) can observe a pending entry with pnum/pcount values left over from the previous use of that entry, resulting in incorrect TLB flush ranges. Write pnum and pcount first and the Config word last. Since the consumer is an external agent on coherent shared memory, use WRITE_ONCE() to stop the compiler from reordering the stores and smp_wmb() to make the parameter words globally visible before the Pending bit is set.
CVE-2026-98521 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/i915: fix incorrect RCU teardown order i915_gem_busy_ioctl uses dma_resv_for_each_fence_unlocked() to iterate over the fences in an GEM object without holding a reference but only the RCU read side lock. What can happen here is that the GEM object is destroyed concurrently while i915_gem_busy_ioctl is still running. This won't free the GEM objects memory, but still drops all the dma_fence references. Now when dma_resv_for_each_fence_unlocked() sees a destroyed dma_fence it assumes that a new fence list was installed and re-starts the loop. But in the case of a destroyed GEM object a new fence list is never installed, only the old one freed and therefore the iteration never finishes resulting in an endless loop. The solution is to drop the fence references only after the RCU grace period. The fixes tag is not necessary the patch introducing the problem, but the one making it so worse that we need to address it. This problem was pointed out by Sashiko-bot. CVE-2026-98444 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: drop dquot flush lock when we can't find a buffer to flush LOLLM noticed that xfs_qm_flush_one fails to drop the dquot flush lock if it can't grab the buffer associated with the dquot. Since there's no buffer, nobody else is going to drop the dqflock, so we need to do it ourselves.

CVE-2026-101309 1 Freebsd 1 Freebsd 2026-10-16 7 High
The xHCI (USB 3) device model did not validate or save the event ring size provided by the guest. The size was re-read from guest memory on each use, and Transfer Request Block (TRB) fields were loaded without protection against concurrent modification by the guest. This race condition could be triggered by a guest running malicious, privileged code. A malicious guest can crash the bhyve process or potentially execute arbitrary code in the host userspace context running the virtual machine, subject to bhyve's Capsicum sandbox.
CVE-2026-101310 1 Freebsd 1 Freebsd 2026-10-16 7 High
The HDA audio device model did not check for zero-length Buffer Descriptor List (BDL) entries when starting a stream. A zero-length entry caused an out-of-bounds read or write during DMA transfer processing. BDL fields were also subject to modification by the guest after validation. A malicious guest can crash the bhyve process or potentially execute arbitrary code in the host userspace context running the virtual machine, subject to bhyve's Capsicum sandbox.
CVE-2026-101311 1 Freebsd 1 Freebsd 2026-10-16 7 High
The framebuffer device model's maximum resolution constants were duplicated between the framebuffer and RFB modules and had gotten out of sync. Additionally, writes to the framebuffer BAR could set arbitrary width and height values without validation, and the framebuffer BAR I/O and RFB rendering threads were not synchronized. A malicious guest can crash the bhyve process or potentially execute arbitrary code in the host userspace context running the virtual machine, subject to bhyve's Capsicum sandbox.
