| Vim is a UNIX editor that, prior to version 9.0.2121, has a heap-use-after-free vulnerability. When executing a `:s` command for the very first time and using a sub-replace-special atom inside the substitution part, it is possible that the recursive `:s` call causes free-ing of memory which may later then be accessed by the initial `:s` command. The user must intentionally execute the payload and the whole process is a bit tricky to do since it seems to work only reliably for the very first :s command. It may also cause a crash of Vim. Version 9.0.2121 contains a fix for this issue. | ||||

| CVE-2024-22373 | 2 Fedoraproject, Malaterre | 2 Fedora, Grassroots Dicom | 2026-09-10 | 8.1 High |
| An out-of-bounds write vulnerability exists in the JPEG2000Codec::DecodeByStreamsCommon functionality of Mathieu Malaterre Grassroot DICOM 3.0.23. A specially crafted DICOM file can lead to a heap buffer overflow. An attacker can provide a malicious file to trigger this vulnerability. | ||||
| CVE-2020-8619 | 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more | 7 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 4 more | 2026-09-01 | 4.9 Medium |
| In ISC BIND9 versions BIND 9.11.14 -> 9.11.19, BIND 9.14.9 -> 9.14.12, BIND 9.16.0 -> 9.16.3, BIND Supported Preview Edition 9.11.14-S1 -> 9.11.19-S1: Unless a nameserver is providing authoritative service for one or more zones and at least one zone contains an empty non-terminal entry containing an asterisk ("*") character, this defect cannot be encountered. A would-be attacker who is allowed to change zone content could theoretically introduce such a record in order to exploit this condition to cause denial of service, though we consider the use of this vector unlikely because any such attack would require a significant privilege level and be easily traceable. | ||||
| CVE-2022-38178 | 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Isc and 2 more | 8 Debian Linux, Fedora, Bind and 5 more | 2026-09-01 | 7.5 High |
| By spoofing the target resolver with responses that have a malformed EdDSA signature, an attacker can trigger a small memory leak. It is possible to gradually erode available memory to the point where named crashes for lack of resources. | ||||
| CVE-2022-38177 | 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Isc and 2 more | 8 Debian Linux, Fedora, Bind and 5 more | 2026-09-01 | 7.5 High |
| By spoofing the target resolver with responses that have a malformed ECDSA signature, an attacker can trigger a small memory leak. It is possible to gradually erode available memory to the point where named crashes for lack of resources. | ||||
| CVE-2022-2795 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Isc and 1 more | 5 Debian Linux, Fedora, Bind and 2 more | 2026-09-01 | 5.3 Medium |
| By flooding the target resolver with queries exploiting this flaw an attacker can significantly impair the resolver's performance, effectively denying legitimate clients access to the DNS resolution service. | ||||
| CVE-2022-27666 | 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 2 more | 24 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 21 more | 2026-09-01 | 7.8 High |
| A heap buffer overflow flaw was found in IPsec ESP transformation code in net/ipv4/esp4.c and net/ipv6/esp6.c. This flaw allows a local attacker with a normal user privilege to overwrite kernel heap objects and may cause a local privilege escalation threat. | ||||

| CVE-2022-0995 | 3 Fedoraproject, Linux, Netapp | 24 Fedora, Linux Kernel, H300e and 21 more | 2026-08-26 | 7.8 High |
| An out-of-bounds (OOB) memory write flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s watch_queue event notification subsystem. This flaw can overwrite parts of the kernel state, potentially allowing a local user to gain privileged access or cause a denial of service on the system. | ||||
| CVE-2022-1011 | 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 3 more | 39 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 36 more | 2026-08-26 | 7.8 High |
| A use-after-free flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s FUSE filesystem in the way a user triggers write(). This flaw allows a local user to gain unauthorized access to data from the FUSE filesystem, resulting in privilege escalation. | ||||
