Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in e4jvikwp VikRentCar vikrentcar allows Stored XSS.This issue affects VikRentCar: from n/a through 1.4.10.
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: st: Fix use-after-free race between st_remove() and st_open()
st_remove() drops the probe reference on the scsi_tape with kref_put()
and only afterwards removes its index from st_index_idr. If that was the
last reference, scsi_tape_release() frees the structure while it is
still published in the idr.
scsi_tape_get(), called from st_open(), looks up the tape in
st_index_idr and takes a reference under st_ref_mutex and
st_index_lock. remove_cdevs() does not wait for opens that are already
past chrdev_open(), so an open that is blocked on st_ref_mutex while
st_remove() holds it can take the mutex as soon as st_remove() drops it,
find the freed tpnt in the idr and call kref_get() on it:
BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in st_open
Write of size 4 ...
st_open (drivers/scsi/st.c:254 drivers/scsi/st.c:1291)
chrdev_open
...
Freed by task ...:
kfree
st_remove (drivers/scsi/st.c:4512)
Remove the index from the idr before dropping the reference, all under
st_ref_mutex. A concurrent scsi_tape_get() now either runs first and
holds a valid reference that keeps the tape alive, or runs afterwards
and finds nothing, so st_open() fails with -ENXIO.
This restores the ordering st_remove() had before the conversion to
st_index_idr, where the tape was unpublished from scsi_tapes[] before
the final kref_put(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
firewire: core: fix race condition in split transaction handling
For a split transaction, either fw_core_handle_response() or
split_transaction_timeout_callback() may manipulate the same transaction
entry in the pending transaction list. The return value of timer_delete()
is used to determine which function handles the entry. If the transaction
is a split transaction and timer_delete() returns zero, the timeout
callback may already be running. In this case, the response handler must
leave the entry in the list for the timeout callback to remove.
A previous code refactoring broke this behavior, introducing a race
condition in which both functions could process the same transaction.
This could lead to a use-after-free on the transaction initiator side.
Fix the regression by ensuring that the response handler does not process
the transaction when timer_delete() returns zero. The timeout callback is
responsible for removing the entry from the pending transaction list. |
The Security Optimizer WordPress plugin before 1.6.9 does not limit the number of two-factor authentication codes that can be submitted for a pending login, allowing an attacker who already knows a user's password to brute force the second factor and take over the account.
The Debug Log Manager – Conveniently Monitor and Inspect Errors plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'message (and pageUrl)' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.5.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Successful exploitation requires that the site administrator has debug logging enabled with JS error logging active, and that the attacker can obtain the publicly emitted dlmVars.jsErrorLogging nonce — which is broadcast on every frontend page — to pass the nonce check on the unauthenticated endpoint.
The WP Activity Log plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting in all versions up to, and including, 5.6.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
The User Submitted Posts – Enable Users to Submit Posts from the Front End plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored DOM-Based Cross-Site Scripting via the 'user-submitted-content' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 20260916 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. On a default installation the submitted post is held as Pending and requires admin approval before the payload is reachable by other visitors; however, if the plugin's "publish immediately" option is enabled, no approval step exists and the stored payload becomes live without any moderator interaction.
The Shipping Zones by Drawing for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'szbd-picked' checkout parameter in versions up to, and including, 3.3.0 The szbd_checkout_field_update_order_meta() handler stores stripslashes(sanitize_text_field($_POST['szbd-picked'])) in order meta without validating the JSON structure or restricting dangerous characters, and the szbd_show_checkout_field_admin_order_meta() handler later concatenates the decoded lat and lng values directly into a double-quoted href attribute without esc_url() or esc_attr(). This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers, by submitting an ordinary guest-checkout order with a crafted szbd-picked JSON payload, to inject arbitrary attributes (such as onmouseover) onto the Google Maps link in the WooCommerce admin order view that will execute whenever an administrator accesses an injected order.
The Mapster WP Maps WordPress plugin before 2.0.6 does not perform any authorization check on a REST API route that writes post data, allowing unauthenticated attackers to overwrite the title of arbitrary posts, create arbitrary published posts, and overwrite the Mapster WP Maps WordPress plugin before 2.0.6's stored settings.
The Welcart e-Commerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'gid' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.12.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The payload is staged by an unauthenticated visitor who forges the ROBOT PAYMENT browser-return request, storing the malicious gid value in order metadata; the script then fires when an administrator opens that order in the WordPress admin panel.
The Shield Security – Smart Bot Blocking, Brute-Force Login Protection & File Scanning plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'REQUEST_URI' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 22.3.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The hidden 'path' column in ForTraffic.php lacks a client-side render function, so DataTables builds its cell via innerHTML, causing stored HTML in the path value to be parsed into live DOM nodes; a prior partial fix in version 18.5.8 added esc_html() only to the visible 'page' column, leaving the hidden 'path' field unescaped and exploitable through version 22.2.6.
The Bulk Media Register WordPress plugin before 2.01 does not properly validate a user-supplied path before moving a file on the server, allowing users with the Author role to move or rename arbitrary files, including outside the WordPress root, which can defeat directory-level access controls and disclose protected files.
The VikRentCar Car Rental Management System plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'optionals' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.10 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
The Relevanssi – A Better Search plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'comment' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.28.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This requires the site to have both the comment indexing and comment highlighting options enabled, and the payload only fires when a visitor reaches a singular page via a Relevanssi search-result permalink carrying the highlight query parameter.
The PPWP – Password Protect Pages plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'comment / shortcode attribute desc_below_form (and placeholder as the marker-smuggling helper)' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.9.26 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This is exploitable by unauthenticated attackers because WordPress's comment_content filter leaves bare shortcode text (containing no HTML tags) untouched, and the comment_whitelist setting auto-approves subsequent comments from a previously approved name and email without administrator intervention.
The VikRentCar Car Rental Management System plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'poplink' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.9 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The handler requires only a WordPress nonce (vikwp_nonce), which the plugin itself emits to unauthenticated visitors on the public booking-confirmation page, allowing an attacker to obtain a valid token without any account.
The W3 Total Cache plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'comment' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.10.7 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Exploitation requires that a Pro license was previously active with REST caching enabled and has since become inactive while Disk Enhanced page caching remains configured, and that the attacker holds a previously approved commenter identity.
The FeedWordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting in versions up to, and including, 2026.0517 via syndicated RSS/Atom feed content. The plugin's SyndicatedPost::sanitize_content() function only strips the 'target' attribute (the lines that would strip 'style' and 'on[a-z]+' event-handler attributes are commented out), and SyndicatedPost::insert_post() deliberately removes WordPress's wp_filter_kses and wp_filter_post_kses filters from content_save_pre before persisting imported feed items via wp_insert_post(). This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers who control an external feed that a site has already subscribed to to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
The Ninja Forms – Contact Form Builder with Calculators, Quizzes, Signatures & AI Form Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'formData.extra' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.15.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The nf_ajax_submit endpoint issues a valid nonce to any requester on failure, effectively neutralizing the nonce check and making exploitation trivially achievable in a single unauthenticated request.
