CVSS v3.1 |
| HKUDS Vibe-Trading from 0.1.0 before 0.1.7 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows remote attackers to read sensitive server files through LLM agent file-read tools. Attackers can prompt the agent to invoke read_document, which lacks sandbox checks, or safe_user_path-gated tools to leak /etc/shadow, /proc/self/environ API keys, and /root credentials. |
| Vitest is a Vite-native testing framework for JavaScript and TypeScript projects. From 4.1.11 until 4.1.12 and 5.0.3, isFileLoadingAllowed and the filesystem read interpret backslashes differently on Windows in packages/mocker/src/node/interceptorPlugin.ts. When a client can reach the Vite dev server on Windows and register a redirect mock containing backslash traversal, POSIX joining preserves a Windows backslash traversal that the later filesystem read interprets as a path separator, so the client can read a file outside server.fs.allow that the Vitest process can access. This issue is fixed in versions 4.1.12 and 5.0.3. |
| Argo CD is a declarative, GitOps continuous delivery tool for Kubernetes. From 0.9.0 until 3.3.15, 3.4.10, 3.5.4, and 3.6.0-rc2, the repo-server evaluates .jsonnet files with an importer that does not confine import, importstr, or importbin to the repository root. Absolute paths, parent-directory traversal, and repository symlinks can open any file readable by the repo-server, including /proc/self/environ, projected service-account tokens, mounted private keys, and repository credentials. Although generated Secrets are redacted, placing imported contents in a ConfigMap returns the data to the caller. Using importstr on a non-terminating device such as /dev/zero can exhaust repo-server memory. An attacker can commit a .jsonnet file to a Git repository used by an Application or upload the file through POST /api/v1/applications/manifestsWithFiles, also exposed by argocd app diff --local --server-side-generate. Directory applications evaluate every .jsonnet file in the application directory. The upload path requires only Application get permission on an existing directory Application, without Application update or sync permission or repository write access. This issue is fixed in versions 3.3.15, 3.4.10, 3.5.4, and 3.6.0-rc2. |
| Wing FTP Server does not verify user's base folder. An attacker with admin privileges can add user directories via scripts, allowing the added directories to escape the base folder. This allows the attacker to write files on the system and can lead to remote code execution with process owner privileges.Critically, since the installation guide mentions running the command with `sudo`, the files are created as “root.”
This issue was fixed in version 8.2.6. |
| Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in HAVELSAN Inc. Liman MYS allows Path Traversal.
This issue affects Liman MYS: before 2.3.5-1132. |
| Roundcube Webmail before 1.6.20 and 1.7.x before 1.7.5 is affected by a path traversal vulnerability in the squirrelmail_usercopy plugin. With the file based backend, the source path was built from the login name without rejecting path separators, so a login name containing a slash could cause files outside the configured squirrelmail_data_dir to be read and imported. Upstream fixed this in the commit “Fix unsafe use of a login name in SquirrelMail import file path”, which rejects login names containing a slash. |
| A weakness has been identified in leomoon-studios wiki-go up to 1.9.1. Affected by this vulnerability is the function SaveHandler/SourceHandler of the file internal/handlers/editor.go of the component API. Executing a manipulation can lead to path traversal. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. Upgrading to version 1.9.2 addresses this issue. This patch is called 94f7e73ef8df7c58091d72d77a5e26e9fdad98b8. Upgrading the affected component is advised. |
| Storybook is a frontend workshop for building user interface components and pages in isolation. From 8.0.0 until 8.6.19, 9.1.21, 10.6.2, and 11.0.0-alpha.6, the Storybook development server can expose its WebSocket authentication token to clients able to load its HTML pages over a local network. A LAN attacker can obtain the token and invoke WebSocket-backed file-writing or testing functionality. Weak story-write validation can allow code to be placed in story files. If the Storybook Vitest addon is installed with an old version of Vitest, the payload can use a Vitest API to write additional files or execute commands. Depending on the payload and local tooling, the attack can lead to code execution with the developer's privileges. This issue is fixed in 8.6.19, 9.1.21, 10.6.2, and 11.0.0-alpha.6. |
| Trudesk through 1.2.11 contains a path traversal and authorization bypass vulnerability in accountsController.uploadImage that allows authenticated users to overwrite other users' avatars via form-supplied _id and username fields. Attackers can supply a username like /../../../x to bypass the incomplete CVE-2022-1752 sanitization and write png, jpg, jpeg, or gif files outside public/uploads/users. |
| Dulwich from 0.22.5 before 1.2.8 contains a path traversal vulnerability in stash.py pop() that allows attackers to write arbitrary files outside the worktree through intermediate directory symlinks. Attackers can craft a malicious repository whose popped stash writes a payload into .git/hooks/post-checkout, achieving code execution on the next checkout. |
| Trigger.dev before 4.5.0-rc.3 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the api/v1/packets and api/v2/packets endpoints that allows authenticated tenants to escape their object key prefix through an unsanitized filename splat segment. Attackers holding one valid API key can supply ../ sequences to obtain presigned GET or PUT URLs and read or overwrite other tenants' run payloads and outputs. |
| SvelteKit (@sveltejs/kit) from 2.10.0 before 3.0.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the vite preview server on Windows that allows unauthenticated attackers to read files outside the prerendered output directory. Attackers who can reach the preview server through network access or a tunnel can send crafted requests to expose source code, configuration, or credentials readable by the server process. |
| A weakness has been identified in Tenstorrent tt-metal up to 0.80.0. The affected element is the function load_hf_state_dict_filtered of the file models/tt_transformers/tt/load_checkpoints.py. This manipulation of the argument weight_map causes path traversal. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. Upgrading to version 0.81.0-dev20261016 is sufficient to fix this issue. Patch name: 4851ccf347f6903c3d819eed60705600386e52c3. It is suggested to upgrade the affected component. |
| Vulnerability in Oracle Java SE (component: Networking). Supported versions that are affected are Oracle Java SE: 21.0.12.1, 25.0.4.1 and 27. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise Oracle Java SE. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized read access to a subset of Oracle Java SE accessible data. Note: This vulnerability can only be exploited by supplying data to APIs in the specified Component without using Untrusted Java Web Start applications or Untrusted Java applets, such as through a web service. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 5.3 (Confidentiality impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N). |
| Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in WebRehab Super Forms super-forms allows Path Traversal. This issue affects Super Forms: from n/a through 6.3.316. |
| Joomla Extension - svenbluege.de - Authenticated arbitrary path deletion in `clear cache` task in Event Gallery extension < 6.5.0 - Using the `images` parameter of the `cache.process` task, you can recursively delete any directories that the web server is authorized to write to. |
| Aspose Doc Exporter plugin for WordPress before 2.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to download arbitrary files by passing unsanitized paths to readfile(). Attackers can send GET requests to aspose_doc_exporter_download.php with the 'file' parameter set to values like ../../../wp-config.php to retrieve database credentials. Exploitation evidence was first observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2023-10-23. |
| virtualenv is a tool for creating isolated virtual python environments. Prior to 21.14.9, PipInstall._uninstall_previous_version() accepts existing seed-package metadata and _uninstall_dist() joins entries from top_level.txt and RECORD to site-packages without checking containment. When a reused destination contains distribution metadata influenced by another account, relative traversal, absolute entries, or linked parents can cause app-data reseeding to delete files outside the environment or the environment root with the invoking user's permissions, provided that user has deletion rights over the named paths. The deletion occurs during environment creation before any later use of the environment. Fresh environments without existing package metadata and creation with --clear do not enter this cleanup path. This issue is fixed in version 21.14.9. |
| ZLMediaKit confines the downloadFile API to a configured set of root directories with a prefix comparison that does not account for directory boundaries. The configuration loader in server/WebApi.cpp builds each root with File::absolutePath("", item, true); because the relative-path argument is empty that helper returns the value without a trailing separator. The handler then accepts a requested path when start_with(file_path, root) holds, so a sibling directory whose name merely begins with the configured root string satisfies the test and is served. The only other guard rejects a path containing two dots, which this requires none of. The equivalent confinement check for the ordinary static file server in src/Http/HttpFileManager.cpp computes its root with a non-empty second argument, which appends the separator before comparing, and so is not affected. The endpoint requires the configured API secret, so this grants no privilege beyond what that secret already implies, but it reads files outside the directory the operator confined it to, and the reference container runs the server as root. |
| Agno's PythonTools in libs/agno/agno/tools/python.py contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows attackers to read, write, or execute arbitrary files by supplying parent-directory traversal sequences in the file_name argument passed to read_file, save_to_file, or run_python_file tool actions. Attackers can inject traversal sequences such as '../../../../../../etc/passwd' through direct tool invocation or via prompt injection embedded in agent-processed content to escape the intended base_dir boundary and achieve arbitrary file read, arbitrary file write, or arbitrary Python code execution within the process user's authority. |
